At Wildcat Distilling Co., whiskey and our land have always been tied together — literally. It all started with Wildcat Cave, hidden beneath our family farm. Legend has it Bonnie & Clyde may have used it as a hideout, and back in the day, there was a speakeasy perched on top of the cave in an old barn. Whiskey has been flowing around here for generations — we just decided to make it official.
We grow our own Iowa corn, mill it on-site, and distill award-winning spirits that reflect the hard work and heart of our family farm. Every bottle carries the story of our land and the people who shaped it — from outlaws to farmers to the next generation of whiskey lovers.

Wildcat Distilling Co. didn’t start in a barn or a rickhouse — it started in a cubicle.
Back in 2014, Alissa was stuck under fluorescent lights, staring at a computer screen and dreaming of something different. She fired off an email to her brother Brad with a bold idea: what if we made whiskey — not just to escape the cubicle, but to add value to the family farm?
That one email kicked off years of trial, error, late nights, home experiments, and a fair share of “what the hell are we doing?” moments. We read, we learned, we distilled (sometimes badly), and finally, in 2020 — right as the world shut down — we signed the papers and made it official. Wildcat Distilling Co. was born.
But the truth is, whiskey was always part of our story. Our fifth-generation family farm in Duncombe, Iowa is home to Wildcat Cave — a hidden gem with ties to Bonnie & Clyde and, once upon a time, an old barn-turned-speakeasy that sat right above it. Spirits have always flowed here. We just decided to make it legal.
Today, we grow our own Iowa corn, mill it on-site, and distill award-winning whiskey that honors our past while building a new legacy — one bottle at a time. Our process is simple: Till. Mill. Distill. But the result? Anything but.
