Member Account Specialist

Role This position involves overseeing customer transactions at the teller line and providing assistance with account-related inquiries. Additionally, the role will manage incoming calls to address account questions, share information about products and services, take messages, or transfer calls when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, efficient, and accurate assistance
• Perform routine banking tasks, including making deposits, withdrawals, transfers, receiving loan payments, and cashing checks
• Perform phone transactions including transfers, loan payments, reissue debit cards, account updates
• Identify member needs for appropriate products and services
• Investigate and resolve member concerns. Collaborate with supervisors to resolve complex member issues
• Minimize fraud by thorough examination of documentation
• Ensure that member information is handled confidentially and securely

Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
• Previous customer service experience
• Familiarity with computers and/or banking applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Empathy and patience when dealing with member inquiries
• Creative problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Previous credit union knowledge (preferred)
• Bilingual (preferred)

Schedule   Full-Time

• Monday to Friday, rotating Saturdays
