Building Connections & Celebrating Local: December Chamber Ambassador Stroll
The Webster City Area Chamber Ambassadors gathered this week for their December Ambassador Stroll, a tradition focused on celebrating local businesses, strengthening connections, and sharing gratitude during one of the busiest seasons of the year.
What is a Chamber Ambassador?
Chamber Ambassadors are local professionals who serve as the welcoming arm of the Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce. Ambassadors represent their own businesses while helping to build relationships across the community. They attend ribbon cuttings, greet new members, participate in Chamber events, and serve as a bridge between the business community and the Chamber. Their goal is simple: ensure local businesses feel supported, connected, and valued.
During the December Stroll, the Ambassadors visited Chamber member businesses throughout downtown Webster City. Each stop offered a chance to thank business owners and staff for their partnership, hear how the season is going, and learn what holiday sales and specials are happening. These conversations are a reminder of just how important it is to shop local—not only during the holidays, but year-round. When we shop here at home, we invest directly into the businesses that make Webster City vibrant.
A highlight of the day included Angie Anderson of the Daily Freeman-Journal, who enjoyed taking part in the stroll and even used one of the Chamber’s Shop Local programs while out supporting downtown retailers. It’s another great example of how community members and businesses can uplift one another.
The Chamber extends heartfelt thanks to all the participating businesses and to our dedicated Ambassadors. Your engagement helps keep Webster City strong, connected, and full of hometown pride.
