Reflecting on the First Impressions
Reflecting on the First Impressions Community Forum
Thank you, Webster City!
Yesterday’s First Impressions Community Forum at Wildcat Distilling Co. was an inspiring evening filled with insight, collaboration, and community pride. Representatives from Iowa State University shared their findings from the First Impressions Program—a project where first-time, undercover visitors explored Webster City throughout the past year.
Their observations offered a fresh perspective on how visitors experience our community—from the moment they drive in, to the way they interact with our businesses, parks, and downtown spaces. The results highlighted our many strengths, revealed exciting opportunities for growth, and underscored what makes Webster City such a special place to live, work, and visit.
Tourism continues to be a vital part of our local economy, and these insights will help guide future improvements that strengthen our businesses, enhance visitor experiences, and continue to build a vibrant, welcoming community.
We’re so grateful to everyone who attended, asked thoughtful questions, and shared in the discussion about Webster City’s future. Your engagement and ideas are what keep our community moving forward.
Together, we’re shaping the next chapter of Webster City’s story—one that celebrates our small-town charm, entrepreneurial spirit, and commitment to growing stronger, together. 💙
✨ Let’s keep the momentum going, Webster City!

Would you like me to add a short quote box from either you or the Chamber (for example, something like “We’re excited to turn these insights into action…”)? It would make the blog even more engaging.
