🚗 What to Expect as a Car Owner at Classic Car Night – Thursday, July 10th
Calling all classic car lovers!
If you’ve got a beautiful ride you’re proud of, bring it downtown for Classic Car Night during Webster City Market Night on Thursday, July 10th! Whether it’s a sleek muscle car, a vintage beauty, or a rare showpiece, this is your chance to show it off to the community — and the best part? It’s completely free to participate!
Here’s everything you need to know for a smooth and fun night:
🚦 Arrival & Check-In
- Where: Enter at the corner of Prospect and Second Street
- When: Between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM
Upon arrival, an attendant will greet you with a form to fill out (name, car make, model, and year). After parking, please place the completed form in your windshield so attendees and judges can easily view your car's details.
Cars will be parked along Second Street. To help with judging, please keep your hood and trunk open — judges and attendees will be evaluating your vehicle’s paint, body, engine, interior, wheels, and overall presentation.
🏆 Trophies & Voting
Three awards will be presented:
- 🗳️ Community Choice Award – Voted on by the public
- 🍉 Envision Stanhope “Once in a Melon” Award – For the most fun and standout car
- 🏅 Karl Award – Judged on five categories: body & paint, interior, engine compartment, tires/wheels, and any special features
Community voting happens at the Legion Auxiliary Booth, located in front of the American Legion (just follow the smell of baked goods!). To vote, drop your favorite car’s number in the fishbowl.
🏁 Awards Ceremony & Departure
Trophies will be awarded at 7:20 PM in front of the American Legion.
After the ceremony, car owners are asked to exit using the same route they entered — at the corner of Prospect and Second Street.
🎶 Enjoy the Evening
Bring a lawn chair or take a stroll through the downtown festivities!
Enjoy live music at the Availa Bank Plaza, grab dinner from local food trucks, or savor a hometown favorite — Bash’s Coney Dogs — served at Grama’s Diner. The American Legion Grill will also be serving burgers and brats (cash only), and vendors will be lining the blocks with goodies for all ages.
⏰ Running Late?
If you arrive after 5:00 PM, no worries! Park at the end of the car lineup and stop by the Auxiliary Booth to pick up a windshield form to display in your vehicle.
