🚗 What to Expect as a Car Owner at Classic Car Night – Thursday, July 10th

Calling all classic car lovers!

If you’ve got a ride you’re proud of—whether it’s a vintage beauty, muscle car, or a one-of-a-kind relic from automotive history—bring it downtown for Classic Car Night during Webster City Market Night on Thursday, July 10th!

This is your chance to show off your car, connect with other enthusiasts, and enjoy a night full of music, food, and hometown fun. Best of all? It’s completely free to participate!

🚦 Arrival & Check-In

Where: Enter at the corner of Prospect and Second Street
When: Between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM

An attendant will greet you and hand you a quick form to fill out (name, car make, model, and year). After parking, place your form in the windshield so attendees and judges can view your vehicle details.

📣 Helpful tip: Keep your hood up and trunk open to maximize judging points! Judges will be evaluating based on paint, body condition, engine, interior, wheels, and overall presentation.

🏆 Trophies & Voting

Three special awards will be presented at 7:20 PM in front of the American Legion:

🗳️ Community Choice Award – Voted on by the public at the Legion Auxiliary Booth (look for the fishbowl and the smell of fresh-baked goods!)
🍉 Envision Stanhope “Once-in-a-Melon” Award – A fun nod to Stanhope’s beloved Watermelon Day, coming up July 19, 2025! This award, judged by Rick Young, a car history guru and Envision Stanhope board member, honors the most rare, unique, or downright unforgettable car on display.
🏅 Karl Award – Judged by representatives from Karl Webster City on a 25-point scale, scoring your car in five categories:
- Body & Paint
- Interior
- Engine Compartment
- Tires/Wheels/Hubcaps
- Special Features & Overall Presentation

Judges from Karl make a full sweep of the block each month—so have your car polished and open for full-point potential!

🏁 Awards & Exit Info

🏆 Awards will be presented at 7:20 PM in front of the American Legion.
🚗 Afterward, car owners may exit using the same route they entered — at Prospect & Second Street.

Live music from Scott Kirkhart on the Availa Bank Plaza stage
Burgers & brats from the American Legion Grill (cash only)
Bashes Coney dogs & root beer floats from Grama’s Diner
Over a dozen food vendors up and down the street — from shaved ice and lemonade to loaded fries, BBQ, egg rolls, and kettle corn & ice cream
Local vendors and downtown shops offering everything from handcrafted gifts to vintage finds

Bring a lawn chair, grab a bite, and take a stroll—it’s a perfect evening to enjoy great cars, great company, and a great community.

⏰ Running Late?

If you arrive after 5:00 PM, no problem! Park at the end of the lineup and stop by the Auxiliary Booth to grab a windshield form so your car can still be part of the fun and voting.
