Triple Your Produce Bucks: Hamilton County Farm Bureau Produce Project Now Offers $3 Per Youth
Youth Fresh Produce Voucher Program Expands at Market Nights!
Now Offering $3 Vouchers for Kids Ages Infant–18
We’re excited to share an update to the Youth Fresh Produce Voucher Program at Webster City Market Nights, proudly sponsored by the Hamilton County Farm Bureau!
This program, launched earlier this year, encourages healthy eating and supports our local growers — and now, it’s growing too!
What’s New?
Starting this week, the value of each voucher for youth ages infant–18 has increased from $1 to $3 per child, per week! 🎉
Kids can visit the Farm Bureau booth (located in front of Availa Bank Plaza on the south side of Second Street) and complete a quick, fun activity. Once finished, they’ll receive $3 in Produce Bucks to spend at Market Night on fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, or honey from participating vendors.
How It Works:
- Children receive $3 in Produce Bucks each Thursday after completing an activity at the Farm Bureau booth
- Vouchers can be used on fresh produce, herbs, or honey only
- No change is given back — vendors may set prices to match (example: 1 cucumber = $1, 3 honey sticks = $1, etc.)
- Families can use all $3 at one booth or spend $1 at several — it’s up to them!
Participating vendors will have a flyer at their table to let families know they accept Produce Program Bucks.
Why It Matters:
This program helps kids engage with local food, learn about healthy choices, and experience the fun of shopping at the market. It's a simple way to build good habits, support local growers, and make Market Nights even more family-friendly.
Thank you to everyone who helps bring this program to life and to the Hamilton County Farm Bureau for their ongoing support!
