Dutch Oven Potluck: Fire Up the Coals and Gather Your Recipes
Fire up the coals and gather your recipes—Hamilton County Conservation invites the public to a Dutch Oven Gathering Potluck on Wednesday, June 18 from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at the Outback Area behind the Conservation Office, 2490 Briggs Woods Trail, Webster City. Whether you're a seasoned outdoor cook or just curious about Dutch oven cooking, this event is a fun, flavorful way to explore a timeless tradition. Once a survival skill for early pioneers, Dutch oven cooking has become a beloved hobby for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages. Participants are encouraged to bring:
- A Dutch oven and cookware
- Food and ingredients to prepare a dish
- A favorite recipe to share (copies welcome)
- Lawn chairs for outdoor seating
- Their own plate and silverware (some disposables will be available)
