Mark Moberly of MOBEEZ a local bee keeper will be presenting on the basics of bee keeping. We will have a live bee observation hive for people to view and raw honey to sample. He will be discussing what can be done in city limits and out of city limits for bee keeping. We will be discussing the benefits of raising bees and eating local honey. Honey can be substituted for sugar sometimes when cooking. Some honey recipes for cooking will be available for people to take. Bee keeper concerns and costs will also be discussed in this presentation. John will mention some of the flowering plants that bees prefer for planting your own back yard butterfly and pollinator flower garden.
