Dr. Celina Peerman Inspires at Webster City Area Chamber’s Annual Business Lunch

The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its Annual Business Lunch on Friday, February 28th, at the Briggs Woods Conference Center. This exclusive members-only event served as a platform to highlight the Chamber’s impact in 2024 and included an annual financial review.

This year’s special guest speaker was Dr. Celina Peerman of The Peerman Group. Dr. Peerman, a Webster City High School graduate, delivered an inspiring presentation titled "It's All About the Relationship." Her message encouraged attendees to strengthen challenging relationships, identify five key relationships crucial to career success, and move past disagreements to achieve progress. She emphasized that solutions are often simpler than they may seem in the moment.

Attendees had the opportunity to take Dr. Peerman’s wisdom home with them. Dr. Celina gifted copies of her newly released book, 49 Chameleons, which explores adaptability, change, and leadership.

Dr. Peerman, Ph.D., SHRM-SCP, CSP, is an organizational psychologist with over 30 years of experience helping leaders and teams thrive. Her career spans various industries, from frontline operations to senior leadership, providing her with deep insights into workplace behavior and organizational health. A dynamic speaker and strategist, she presents at over 250 events annually, engaging audiences at local, state, and national levels, as well as internationally across Asia, Canada, Central, and South America. She is a two-time TEDx presenter, podcast host, and author of three upcoming books this year.

Holding a Ph.D. in Psychology, a master’s degree in business, and undergraduate degrees in psychology and international studies, Dr. Peerman has also earned the prestigious Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation from the National Speakers Association. She is widely known for her humor, insight, and practical approach to leadership and communication.

In addition to Dr. Peerman’s presentation, the event provided a comprehensive review of the Chamber’s accomplishments in 2024, including:

· 962 member events on the community calendar

· $5,000 in Design Grant Awards

· $16,300 in the economic impact of volunteer contributions

· 8% membership growth

· 22 ribbon cuttings and groundbreakings

The event was generously sponsored by Briggs Woods Conference Center, Neighborhood Realty, Groves & Chizek Law Office, Peterson Construction, Crestview Nursing and Rehab, and OHP Marketing Services. The City of Webster City and Hamilton County Growth Partnership also provided valuable updates on ongoing projects.

The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce continues to foster vitality the Webster City area, and this year’s Annual Business Lunch served as a powerful reminder of the strength and resilience within the community. With Dr. Peerman’s motivating message and the Chamber’s ongoing efforts, we hope members feel inspired to build stronger relationships and drive positive change in their organizations.
