Phil Hester- Comic Book Artist

ARE YOU STILL DOING THOSE CRAZY COMIC BOOKS?  Come to the Mulberry Center Church- Saturday June 20th at 1:00pm and meet Phil Hester.  Phil Hester is a professional American comic book artist, penciller, and writer.  Over a career spanning more than 35 years, his distinct use of high-contract black-and-white spaces, sharp angles, and blocky silhouettes has made his work easily recognizable and highly influential in the comic book industry.  He created many characters that have appeared in feature films like Suicide Squad, and Ant-Man, as well as television shows like Arrow, Batman: The Caped Crusader, and Superman and Lois.  His creation Fire-breather became an Emmy-winning television feature on Cartoon Network.  Phil Hester lives in North English, Iowa.
