A Day in the Life of a WWII GI

16 Year old, Caedyn Huston will be presenting this program taking on the viewpoint of a young soldier during WWII.

Huston researched all 54 Washington County servicemen who died while serving their country during WWII. The result of his research is a 150-page book detailing their stories, which became his 4-H Citizenship and Civil Engagement project.

The project was selected for the 2024 Iowa State Fair, where it was chosen for one of 10 “Future Discovery Awards” chosen by Iowa State University faculty members. The award includes a $500 scholarship to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University.
