The Surgical Scrub Nurse handles all the instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the Surgical Procedure. He or she understands the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge, understanding and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is consistently on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. This individual works closely with the surgeon and the entire OR team.

Wage commensurate with experience.
 

Requirements

• Active RN license 
• BSN license preferred
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certified
• Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification or obtained within one year of hire
• 2 years of experience working in the perioperative setting 
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
• Impeccable organization, time management, and critical-thinking skills 
• Ability to work well with a team and communicate effectively and professionally. 
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements as outlined in the Job Requirements document.

This position requires successful completion of a Physical Capacity Profile Screening.
