RN/LPN - Specialty Clinic (PT)

Effectively delivers care to the patient in the clinic setting through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.  Works with physicians and advanced practice providers to care for outpatients. Acknowledges patient’s rights, maintains patient confidentiality at all times and follows HIPAA guidelines and regulations. Cover all visiting specialty clinics as well as scheduling for those appointments, specialties, and procedures. 

Works 24 hours per week. 3 x 8 hr days per week, Monday through Friday.

Wage commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits including Iowa Public Employees Retirement System (IPERS).

Requirements

Education – one of the following should apply.

  • Graduate of a state approved nursing program, and licensed to practice as Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa.
  • Graduate of a state approved nursing program, and licensed to practice as Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Iowa.
  • Certification as a CMA (AAMA) preferred.

Other Qualifications:

  • Must speak, hear and understand the English language.
  • Basic medical terminology required.
  • Must have computer experience.
  • Ability to effectively interact with co-workers and public is required.
  • Knowledge of medical records documentation requirements.
  • Knowledge of medical instruments and supplies.
  • Knowledge of routine oral, rectal and injectable medications.
  • Current BLS certification required.
