American Legion Post 191 Memorial Day Services

Memorial Days services honoring American veterans on Memorial Day 2023 7:30 AM Legion members who are on the firing squad meet at the Legion 8:00AM Legion members and Auxiliary assemble at the Legion all for transportation services. 8:30 AM Services at the Marshall Crippen bridge on North Des Moines Street for those lost at sea. Ceremony conducted by Post 191 Auxiliary. 9:00 AM Services at Cass Center Cemetery, conducted by American Legion Post 191 10:00 AM Formation of the parade on the 700 block of Second Street, North alley. 10:30AM Parade proceeds south on Des Moines Street in the Boulevard of Valor. Presentation of the roses at the markers. Recognition of active duty military personnel by the Auxiliary. Continue parade to the entrance of Graceland Cemetery and Memorial stage. 11:00AM Service at Graceland Cemetery, to be conducted by Commander Richard Stroner.
