Growing Healthy Kids & Stronger Communities: Youth Produce Project Returns for 2026
🌽 Growing Healthy Kids & Stronger Communities: Youth Produce Project Returns for 2026
Something special is growing again in Webster City this summer—and it’s bigger than ever.
The Youth Produce Project is returning for the 2026 Market Nights season, and thanks to the incredible support of Farm Credit Services of America and Iowa Farm Bureau Federation, the program is expanding in a big way.
This year, we’re able to double the impact—serving more youth, supporting more local farmers, and putting even more fresh, healthy food into the hands of children right here in our community.
đź’š What is the Youth Produce Project?
The Youth Produce Project is designed to connect kids directly to agriculture in a fun, meaningful, and hands-on way.
Each week during Market Nights:
- Kids ages 18 and under are invited to participate
- They take part in a hands-on agricultural activity
- Then receive $5 in Produce Bucks
- And get to shop directly from local vendors for items like fresh fruits and vegetables, honey, microgreens, and even eggs
It’s simple—but powerful.
Kids aren’t just receiving food—they’re learning where it comes from, meeting the people who grow it, and building healthy habits that can last a lifetime.
