Ribbon Cutting at Rock River Retreat
Rock River Retreat Celebrates Grand Opening with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The Webster City Area Chamber of Commerce was proud to celebrate the grand opening of Rock River Retreat with a ribbon cutting ceremony held on April 22, 2026. Community members, Chamber Ambassadors, and guests gathered to welcome this beautiful new space dedicated to faith, fellowship, and connection.
Located just outside of Webster City, Rock River Retreat is owned and operated by Connie Ingraham. The retreat was created with a clear and meaningful mission:
“To promote the Word of God, the love of Jesus, and the discernment of the Holy Spirit. Amen & Amen.”
Guests in attendance had the opportunity to explore the property through guided tours and experience firsthand the thoughtful design and purpose behind each space. The retreat offers a variety of accommodations and gathering areas, including a dorm with 20 beds, a celebration house with 13 beds, a rental home with 7 beds, and a multi-use barn that can host events and gatherings.
A unique and meaningful feature of the property is The Rock of Life Chapel of Praise and Prayer, formerly known as the Homer United Methodist Church, which adds a rich spiritual element to the overall experience.
With the ability to host up to 160 guests, Rock River Retreat is well-equipped for weddings, retreats, family gatherings, and community events. Attendees enjoyed snacks, beverages, and fellowship following the ceremony, making it a warm and welcoming introduction to the space.
Looking ahead, Rock River Retreat is already planning opportunities for the community to gather and connect, including:
- May 2, 2026 at 5:00 PM – Music by After Grace
- August 15, 2026 at 5:00 PM – Music by Love & The Outcome, featuring a family-focused, back-to-basics event
The Chamber is excited to welcome Rock River Retreat as a valuable addition to the community and looks forward to seeing the impact it will have in bringing people together.
